Field Trip?

Today I got to go on my first graduate school field trip.
We went to the Battle Building construction site, which is part of the hospital complex in its third year of construction.

Basically we got a tour of the construction, got a look at some of the inner systems, and got to see some of the other structural elements.  It was pretty cool and very complicated.  Here are some pictures:

I also gave a presentation tonight on the Lovell Beach House by Rudloph Schindler.  It was alright, and it's overall a really interesting building.  Apparently Monday and Tuesday are "reading days" here at UVa, so that means an extra 2 days to work on studio.  Horray.
